Let's face it -

Getting old comes with its challenges. One of those challenges is accepting the many changes that come with aging: a shift in our cognition, a decline in our memory, a slowing in our processing speed, and major physical changes.
Such changes can lead us to feel insecure, undesirable, and unrecognizable. It can make us want to disconnect and socially withdraw. It may increase our fears of illness, death, and change in abilities. Though these changes are out of our control, they can make us feel frustrated and irritable.

Those of us struggling with chronic health conditions know these experiences far too well. Having to cancel plans due to fatigue and pain, struggling to connect with those who do not have a chronic illness, feeling insecure over our body's abilities, and finding it difficult to accept limitations.

Maybe you have recently been diagnosed with a health condition and feel overwhelmed with the news and unsure how to process this new aspect of your life.

Regardless of where you are in your journey of health and aging, our clinicians are open to processing the shock, pain, frustration, and isolation that come along with such experiences. We work with our clients toward health, bodily care, acceptance, and connectivity.
