Common Queries
What kind of services do you provide?
Our mental health facility provides a range of services, including therapy, training, supervision, and consultation. Our therapists specialize in relationship difficulties, trauma, grief & loss, life transitions, identity development, and self-esteem. Not all areas of expertise are listed, so please feel free to reach out and inquire about your area of concern.
How long are therapy services?
Session length and frequency is determined between you and your therapist and is based on multiple factors. Sessions are offered at 30min, 45-50 min, and 75min increments and vary when it comes to duration; while some benefit from short-term services, others benefit from ongoing therapy. Therapy services are typically offered weekly; frequency and duration will be determined by you and your therapist.
How do I pay for therapy and what are the costs?
The cost of services varies depending on type and length of care. Payment is accepted in the form of credit card, debit card or HSA/FSA and is expected at the time of treatment. As an OON provider, superbills will be provided on a monthly basis for you to submit to insurance for partial reimbursement. Most insurance companies reimburse between 50-80%. Please check the rates link for additional information; you may also find an estimated reimbursement calculator, though it is highly recommend to consult with your insurance provider.
Is everything I share with my psychological services provider confidential?
Yes, your conversations with your psychological services provider are confidential, with a few exceptions. With your signed permission, we may collaborate with another provider such as your primary care physician or psychiatrist. By law, we are required to break confidentiality and report to the appropriate authorities if we learn that you are a danger to yourself or others or if we learn of actual or threatened harm to those who are vulnerable such as children, elderly, or those with special needs.
Do you offer virtual services?
We only offer virtual services at this time. You will be provided with a zoom link with audio and video access; this link can be used for all of your teletherapy appointments. Virtual services allow for additional appointment times, ease and convenience, and comfort for those struggling to attend to an in-person appointment. Our clinicians are PsyPact certified; click PsyPact to learn more about the states we work with. You must be a resident of one of these three states in order to receive services. We can assist you in providing referrals to clinicians that are licensed in other jurisdictions.
How do I know if therapy is for me?
Anyone can benefit from seeking therapy. Addressing mental health is important because it impacts our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, and can influence our ability to cope with stress, make important decisions, and form healthy relationships. Mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma can impact individuals of all ages and can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetic predisposition, environmental factors, and life experiences. Without proper care and attention, mental health issues can worsen and lead to a decrease in quality of life, including impaired work and school performance, physical health problems, and social isolation. Investing in mental health, whether through therapy, medication, self-care, or other means, can improve overall well-being, enhance relationships, and increase productivity and happiness. By taking care of our mental health, we can improve our ability to cope with life's challenges and lead a fulfilling life.
