Before entering the world of private practice, Ms. Jaclyn completed her internship with Footprints to Recovery, an intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization program focusing on alcohol and drug rehabilitation. During her internship, Ms. Paradise developed a mental health track, working with adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health difficulties. Passionate about holisitc healing, Ms. Jaclyn also created a therapeutic curriculum for re-parenting the inner child, in addition to spearheading a group that focuses on chakra therapy. Ms. Paradise was invited to continue with Footprints to Recovery, where over the past two years she has dedicated her focus to building expertise in the intersection of substance use and trauma, understanding the profound impact these areas can have on one another. She is well-versed in the nuances and comprehensive support needed for individuals navigating these interconnected challenges.

Ms. Jaclyn now holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rider University, where she gained foundational knowledge in the areas of mindfulness, humanistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed care. Ms. Jaclyn has participated in yoga training, where the wisdom of such philosophies has further influenced her approach to well-being and the role the mind-body connection has on mental health. Ms. Jaclyn incorporates traditional therapies alongside mindful movement and breath awareness exercises.

Through her own experiences and mental health journey, Ms. Jaclyn is interested in working with adults who have endured trauma. Specifically, Ms. Jaclyn is interested in working with first responders and military survivors and is sensitive to the complexities that come with integrating into mainstream society after such traumatic experiences.
